Labor of Love: 360 Vapor® Cooks Better Cookbook

The following is a project years in the making. I was involved in many capacities over the years – from finding a custom binding option to eventually photographing the lovely images featured inside. A labor of love, every moment worth the end result.

Our tiny kitchen is stocked with nothing but 360 Cookware. You could say that I am a whole-hearted believer in their product. I cook with it everyday and recommend it to anyone and everyone interested in lasting cookware with health benefits to boot. Each piece is made in the USA by true artisans  in Wisconsin.

Introducing the beautiful, new 360 Cookbook: Vapor Cooks Better:

The 360 Vapor® Cooks Better Cookbook is available for purchase online for $39.99.

It’s packed with recipes and healthy cooking tips specially designed for 360′s Vapor® cooking method.

Check them out on Facebook here: 360 Cookware

I’m thankful to be a member of the Creative team behind this small feat; honored to be a part and have my work published beside stellar recipes developed with healthy families in mind.

Raggamuffin Spring Preview 2013

Last weekend was the definition of a Creative Collective: Friends, independent artists, and stylists (plus a few really ridiculously good looking people) teamed up to put together an afternoon photo shoot for Raggamuffin – an apparel & accessory company backed by some serious heart and a unique culture.

“Raggamuffin is an apparel company that embodies a culture.

Our goal is to provide creative apparel and handcrafted accessories that inspire others to express their inner passion.

We create quality products that give our customers permission to feel comfortable, confident, and artistic.

We are a brand driven by events, by stories, by people.

We are Raggamuffin. Welcome to our Culture.”

(used with permission from Raggamuffin)

Raggamuffin is owned by my lovely sister-in-law, Joy, & the fantastically fanciful Heidi. They have a love for women and young girls that can only be described as God-breathed. Read more about them here and shop for their products here.

Here’s a glimpse from Ragga’s Spring 2013 Line:

The Spring Collection is coming soon to Raggamuffinshop.com.

You won’t be able to keep your hands off of it….

Seriously.

We Interrupt This Hiatus…

Recently, I travelled throughout Southern China for a month, returned home after 4+ months abroad and moved, started back to college full time to complete my English degree, and fell off the face of the earth.

Meanwhile, my sister – who is lovingly named Sally by her sisters – graduated from the University of Florida with her Masters in Occupational Therapy. She got the brains in this family… :)

Before she heads off to Atlanta for her upcoming fellowship, a photo or two needed to be taken.

Congrats Sals!

iU Photojournal pt. 2: No.1 Middle School

Funing No. 1 Middle School

What to do when your cheeks hurt from smiling… ^

The mustache that won’t stop.

Sound checks are serious business.

When everything comes together in the open…

… your feet will barely hit the floor all night.

A beautiful night with old friends & new faces.

The hopeful looks in this school are why we travel across the world to pour into young hearts.

A simple push for inspiration & a hope for a better future is what we bring.

Friendship is the foundation & fuel that keeps iU moving.

In My Toolkit: My Favorite RSS Reader

I love to read up on what other freelance artists use for various tasks. Whether it’s favorite equipment, best invoicing & time tracking software, apps, or cloud services, I like to know what tools make life easier for other artists and business owners and I occasionally try something new myself.

After searching for RSS readers for Mac (I like to experience blogs on the “big” screen aka my tiny MacBook Air), I finally stumbled on Reeder for Mac: clean, organized, & intuitive.

A simple RSS for your Mac: REEDER

Simple sign in with your Google Reader account, easy to use gestures, and a clean, organized interface are among my favorite things about this RSS feed reader. With a simple click, you can view a post in its entirety within Safari, post finds to Pinterest, or share what you are reading to Twitter.

What do you use to keep up with favorite blogs? Up until about a year ago, I tried to remember to (read: didn’t) check into sites that I loved or viewed them on my iPad through a kickin’ app called Flipboard, but even then forgot to check for new posts. For now, I like to save up the posts for a twice-a-week coffee & reading marathon.

Available from the Mac App Store.

Holiday Tunes to Share

I realize that it’s not Thanksgiving, but we will be on a bus traveling around China the month of December, so I am filling up on my Holiday tunes early this year.

Here’s a playlist, from our house to yours!

star of wonder.
